Would you like to showcase your region’s strengths and connect your regional ecosystem with clusters and innovation actors across Europe? The Clusters meet Regions workshops, an initiative from the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), offers the perfect stage to do just that by hosting a dynamic, high-impact workshop right in your region.

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), on behalf of the European Commission, is inviting applications to host a Clusters meet Regions workshop. These events highlight the host region’s assets, stimulate cross-sectoral and cross-border collaboration, and help local ecosystems integrate more deeply into the wider European cluster landscape.

These workshops bring together national and regional cluster organisations, businesses, policymakers, and economic development actors to share best practices and explore strategic opportunities to increase regional resilience and growth.

As a host, your region will benefit from full organisational support from the ECCP consortium, including help with planning, promotion, and coordination with key stakeholders such as the European Commission. The event's agenda should be aligned with EU industrial policy priorities (notably the Competitiveness Compass), the host region’s development priorities, and relevant smart specialisation strategies. In this edition, particular emphasis is placed on the organisation of cross-border (macro-regional) Clusters Meet Regions events. These events go beyond a single regional context and bring together stakeholders from several countries within a shared geographic or functional area. They aim to address common industrial challenges, build on shared Smart Specialisation (S3) priorities, and strengthen cross-border value chains that no single region can tackle alone.

The next deadline to apply is 29 July 2026.

Over the past few years, several EURADA members have successfully organised Clusters Meet Regions events in their regions, including in Zagreb (2022), Kraków (2023), Charleroi (2024), Foligno (2025), and Ajdovščina (2025).

You can find the full details in the Call for Expression of Interest and the White Book, which outlines the organisational process.
