EURADA. PARTNER SEARCH: Our Member FUNDECYT PCTEX is looking for project partners for a Horizon Europe Call

We would like to inform you that our Spanish member FUNDECYT PCTEX, is looking for project partners to build a consortium in order to apply to the HORIZON-EIE-2023-CONNECT-03-01 Implementing co-funded action plans for connected regional innovation valleys Topic.  The project aims to establish a connected Regional Innovation Valley (RIV) focused on tackling Clean Energy Management challenges in Europe, fostering innovation, and attracting investment.

 

Key focus areas of the RIV include: 

• Energy storage and sector coupling; 

• Smart grid technologies for renewable-based systems;

• Supportive regulatory and financial mechanisms for enabling flexibility in the energy transition.

Main objectives of the project: 

• Create an effective regional innovation valley in Europe connecting 5 to 10 EU regions to boost innovation and investments;

• Increase cooperation among the participating regions to support their progress;

• Establish new or improved clean energy management strategies in each territory;

• Generate common knowledge assets and regional policies and tools;

• Increase innovation capabilities and facilitate the entry of innovations into the market; 

• Mobilise funding and investments (public and private) for innovation.

Budget: The project budget will range from € 10 Million to € 16 Million overall, with 50% of the funds (€ 5 to 8 Million) dedicated specifically to the open calls. Additionally the EC's Contribution will be 50% of the project budget (Grant from € 5 8 Million).

 

Consortium criteria: The consortium is led by the Extremadura region in Spain. They are looking for 5 to 10 regions with interest in the topic and that can bring complementary capacities and contributions to the concept. Each region must have a national or regional authority capable of mobilising and unlocking regional funds for the open calls.
